February Solicits

I've got a few things out in February...

CRIMINAL, VOL. 2: LAWLESS TP
story: ED BRUBAKER
art / cover: SEAN PHILLIPS

FEBRUARY 18 / 144 PAGES / FC / M / $14.99

THE BEST-SELLING CRIME SERIES CONTINUES IN THIS STRIKINGLY-DESIGNED NEW EDITION FROM IMAGE!

LAWLESS: A story of brotherly love and hate, as Tracy Lawless finally returns home to find out who murdered his kid brother, and how much their family history has doomed them both. This is where BRUBAKER and PHILLIPS take the world they created in CRIMINAL, VOL. 1 and begin stretching the boundaries of what crime comics can be.

THE FADE OUT, VOL. 1 TP
story: ED BRUBAKER
art / cover: SEAN PHILLIPS

FEBRUARY 25 / 120 PAGES / FC / M / $14.99

BRUBAKER & PHILLIPS' newest hit series, THE FADE OUT is an epic noir set in the world of noir itself, the backlots and bars of Hollywood at the end of its Golden Era.

A movie stuck in endless reshoots, a writer damaged from the war and lost in the bottle, a dead movie star and the lookalike hired to replace her. Nothing is what it seems in the place where only lies are true. THE FADE OUT is BRUBAKER & PHILLIPS' most ambitious project yet.

THE FADE OUT #5
story: ED BRUBAKER
art: SEAN PHILLIPS & ELIZABETH BREITWEISER

FEBRUARY 25 / 40 PAGES / FC / M / $3.50

The second act of BRUBAKER and PHILLIPS’ biggest hit ever begins with a bang!

Someone knows who killed Valeria Sommers, but can our "heroes" find them without exposing themselves? And will their search lead them to answers they don't want to find?

A perfect jumping-on point for new readers, released the same day as the trade! And packed with bonus back pages articles only found in the single issues.

Can't wait! I missed the Criminal series so its great news that you're getting these released. I can't wait to read The Fade Out too. I only pick up the trades and #1 issues to see if I like them. Loved issue 1. Can't wait to see how it pans out.

Sean,

I just finished the first trade. Friggin' incredible. by far my favorite work you and Ed have done. I'm a huge old Hollywood and film noir buff and your art on the book just oozes an authentic feel. Your inking and lighting has never looked better. Astounding, really. The covers are phenomenal, as well (especially #3)! Running out to get the newest issues. Well done!
